Greenland Ice Sheet

Technical Rating: star
The CO2 Science article reviews several studies pertaining to the Greenland Ice Sheet.

A 221-Year Temperature History of the Southwest Coast of Greenland

Technical Rating: star
The study compiles Greenland temperature records since 1884. Their newly-lengthened record reveals there has been no net warming of the region over the last 75 years!

Is the Recent Greenland Temperature Increase Evidence of Man-Induced Global Warming?

The authors studied the characteristics of two century-long temperature records from coastal Greenland and find that almost all decades between 1915 and 1965 were warmer than, or at least as warm as, the 1995 to 2005 decade.

Arctic Warming: Is It as Real and CO2-Induced?

Technical Rating: star
This study shows that over most of the arctic, temperatures were warm in the 1930s, cooled to the 1970s then warmed, but are today slightly below that of the 1930s. It concludes that the Arctic temperature data do not support the models predicting that there will be a critical future warming of the climate because of an increased concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Arctic Temperature Trends

Technical Rating: star
This CO2 Science article shows that Arctic temperatures have been variable, and in the recent past, the western Arctic Ocean was much warmer than it is today.
